report forms and includes special items of interest to members of the Calgary Weekend Hikers Club.
There is normally a "waiting list" for hikers wishing to join
the Club. Please contact the membership person at
n_s@telus.net if you are
interested in placing your name on the list.

Peter Papasideris

Our sharp
shooting friend Peter competed at the World Masters
Games in Edmonton in July and was awarded a bronze
medal. He has competed at the top level in sharp
shooting all over the world and has a trophy room full
of gold medals. Peter's philosophy is a winning one: "it's
not the medals, but the people you meet, the countries
you visit for competitions, and the love of the sport
that make it so worthwhile."

Club President, Tom
Byttynen, presents the "Jack Crossley Tree
Limb Trophy"
to originator and well deserved recipient, Jack
Crossley, at the Executive meeting on March 1, 2006.
This trophy is awarded to Club members that have shown
exceptional leadership and dedication as hike
coordinators, planners and administrators.
A founding member of the
Calgary Weekend Hikers, Jack is also the Club's
archivist. For over 25 years Jack has made a
significant contribution to the Club and his efforts are
being recognized with the award of the trophy.
Congratulations Jack for a
job well done!
