We started with concerns about smoke - air quality was rated 6 or 7 - but by noon a breeze came up and the air was appreciably cleaner. We started Bowbend trail clockwise, took the unmapped loop towards the end of the hike, and came back via Tiger Lily. Various technology devices reported the distance as between 10 and 11.1 km, just under 300 m elevation. We enjoyed ourselves on an overcast day, and lasted long enough to welcome the sun.
