For most of the hike to the Ink Pots, the snow was gently sifting down creating a magical winter wonderland. Add on to that the frozen water falls, Johnston Creek in various stages of freezing and the ice pillars with needle-like projections, and you have a very scenic hike. The temperature at the Ink Pots was a pleasant -5 and because the hard packed trail only required icers. The ride home, however, was another story. The unpredicted snow storm created a white knuckle drive home. Not fun! We were glad to get to our cozy homes. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
