Write Up:
We had a cloudy, cool day for hiking and the rain, that was forecast for the afternoon held off until we were well on our way home. We all agreed that the "new" trail to Guinn Pass is much better that the steep grunt of the past. This is one of the positive results of the flood. Last year we saw the devastation caused by avalanches, one between the trailhead and Lillian Lake and the other two between Lillian and Lower Galatea Lake. Half the group went on past Guinn Pass on the Grassy Knoll above it and half went back to the Lower Lake for lunch. A good time was had by all. A fabulous hike.
