We went to Lake Louise in spite of the weather in Calgary. It turned out to be a worthwhile hike. The larch were in full season, the track was somewhat muddied, and with some slush that made icers a good bet. Having left Calgary at 07:30 we didn't begin our hike until 10:10 or so. In spite of the weather there was still a lot of visitors at Moraine Lake. The ascent to the Valley of the Larch was a little bit too quick. we ended up having lunch at the Valley and it was decided that we had a time restraint to do the Sentinel. we were only too pleased to head back to the parking lot to take the bus to the Lake Louise Overflow. The bus wait was not significant and it allowed us to socialize a bit. Gerry Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
