Our hardy group of six really enjoyed Old Goat Glacier, a hike that is seldom seen on the CWH calendar. It truly is spectacular, and unique in that we end up on a long moraine ridge looking at the remnants of the hanging glacier. The hike up and down the headwall is challenging because of lots of loose rock, but everyone did just fine. The only wildlife we saw were two fighting marmots that Sue characterised as sumo wrestlers. The stats for the day, thanks to Richard and his Garmin GPS: Hiking time = 4:11 Elevation = 603 m Distance = 9.34 km Ave hiking pace = 26 min/km Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
