Calgary Weekend Hikers - About UsAbout the Calgary Weekend Hikers ClubThe Calgary Weekend Hikers (CWH) was started in 1980 by Elaine Watson, Rosemarie Kramp and Elsie James, a group of friends that wanted to explore the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Our club members have a passion for hiking and respect for the mountain environment. We are a volunteer group that appreciates member participation and treasures the friendships that evolve along the trails. The club offers a variety of hikes, including snowshoe outings (over 200) throughout the year. There are a range of hiking levels offered – City, Easy, Moderate, Difficult and Extra Difficult and are offered any day of the week. The club also offers multi-day hiking opportunities throughout the year. The current club has over 250 members.
