We were told by Canmore Info that there was substantial snow on the trail, so we took our icers as a precaution. As it turned out there were a few patches of snow that we crossed--that's all. The steep trail up was damp which made it even better than a dry trail would have been. On the moraine, there was a bitterly cold wind and the sky for most of the day was clouded over with the occasional very welcome ray of sunshine. We were glad that we had winter garb in our packs. One woman that passed us said it felt like we were on Everest. Old Goat is a hidden treasure that is close to home. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
