Sunny comfortable day. Our purpose was to explore spring conditions for a pathway from the southwest end of Bobcat to the middle of Snakes and Ladders. We had done it twice in winter and found 3 to 4 creek crossings. Today we were fortunate that the water was channelized in the ice in the creek I so we were able to jump across. With a bit more melting the channels will be gone and crossings in spring will not be possible. Next try in August. This route offers an opportunity to do just Snakes or just Ladders (for one 350 m vertical) as contrasted with having to do both Snakes and Ladders( 2 times 350 m vertical) By the way: which is Snakes and which is Ladders?
