Our group of 8 set out in very pleasant temperature. No real snow until we reached the waterfall area and the steep climb above it. Icers came on and we easily made it to the first lake. We decided to try for the second lake however increasing snow depth on a steep scree/talus slope finally discouraged us at about half way and we returned to first lake for lunch. My GPS gave conflicting distance of 8 to 9.6 km to the point where we turned around. It was about 550 m up to that point with still quite a bit of vertical to go. Six hours round trip in excellent weather and good company. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
