We left the trail head at 9:00 AM on a blue bird morning. This was a new hike for 4 of the participants. We followed the ridge with all of it's ups and downs, until we were 10 minutes from the North Summit. We were greeted by a large grizzly who was busy digging on the steep slope. We retreated down the slope to allow it to continue without interruption. On the way down 3 of the participants checked out a camp area used earlier in the day by a group of horseback campers. Large skeleton remains were discovered that lead to an interesting discussion as to it origin. We returned to the parking lot at 4:45 PM completing approximately 35,000 steps or 26 km. I would like to thank everyone for joining me on this stellar hike. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
