We hit the canyon just after 9 AM and headed across the canyon to scout out a spot to come down from the top on our return. We marked our descent path with small flags and then headed back down into the canyon. The canyon was just filled with sound of birds and we proceeded to make our way up the north finger. Along the somewhat dry creek bed, we found some really interesting clam and oyster fossils scattered along our path. We eventually climbed our way up the east side of the canyon onto the flat farm land and then back along the ridge to our previously scouted descent path. It was a hot day down in the valley and we all made it through this very interesting, and different adventure. I would like to thank my 3 fellow Calgary Weekend Hikers for joining me on this unique hike. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
